A tripod mount for Sigma 100-400 C, maybe?!
1

Been thinking of an Arca-Swiss-style tripod mount for my Sigma 100-400 C, and this works quite well (crappy shots, sorry about that):

Wimberley Arca-Swiss-style plate used and a Sirui monopod head.

I have put a little padding between the plate's front end and the lens barrel, as not to scratch it.

Much less load on the camera's tripod mount, but not ideal, as the front end of the plate just rests against the barrel, not fixed to it. To take off the TC (or the lens itself) you need to unmount the plate first, as the switches collide with the plate as you try to unmount the lens.

Hope to get hold of a big hose clamp to secure the plate to the lens permanently, soon! Not an elegant solution, but better! Naturally, there need to be paddling between the hose clamp and the lens!
