Although I prefer the X-E3 over the X-T20, it is lacking the tilting LCD, which is a big thing for me. But the X-T20 only has 3 frame AE bracketing, so I ended up going with the X-T100 since it has both of those features. If you can manage without the tilting LCD, then the X-E3 is better IMO, especially if you want to do HDR in PP. If you're not fussed on HDR or the rangefinder style body, the X-T20 is perhaps the better choice. Then again, with the X-T20 you can shoot two lots of 3 frame +/-2EV brackets with the second bracket at +1EV to get 6 frames one stop apart.

...... or, look around for a used XT2 and get the best of both worlds.

Gavin - looking to seeing some results from your XT100 when you have some. Is it on general sale yet or pre-order?

Vic

Hey Vic,

I loved the X-T2, but it's coming up on the end of its life cycle, so if I wait to see what the X-T3 brings, I can either get run-out pricing on a X-T2 or pony up for the X-T3 at the end of the year.

I've pre-ordered the X-T100 and am waiting for it to come into stock. It was cheapest to get it from Western Australia, so once it comes into stock I then have an extended wait for postage to Queensland. I'm saving $170 and getting a bonus warranty extension, so I don't mind... But it means I won't be first out with sample images even though I was one of the first to get my hands on a demo unit.

Gav.
