well if i am wrong so is the Olympus manual i copy and pasted from.....no wonder people think the menu system can be weird especially if the manual is fubar

you can get silent shutter on a Nikon that doesn't have a mirror........

So tell where is the Q button the Olympus menu is saying that E-M1 has?

And what Nikon camera you are talking about?

As selecting a Silent Shutter on Olympus is just behind selecting it.

English olympus manual page 47 of the PDF

I know it says OK, but as I said it does work with the Shutter Release button as well by half-pressing it. That is insightful information you will find when you are using the gear.

You said that Olympus manual commands to press Q button. And I asked about that, what is the Q you talk about?

Notice as well that function works with the sequence mode because you are in fast situation to get the shot so you need to be able do that without loosing grip. As you can need to switch from mechanical to electronic because flash or situation and you don't need to loosen grip to press OK button. But that function doesn't work example with enabling/disabling EVF proximity sensor for automatic switching but you need to press OK button.

You can as well search the manual for a such slight information like press and hold INFO button and rotate the front dial to browse through enabled view modes....

There are couple others similar things that are logical but not mentioned in the manual.

i've never mentioned a "Q" button

Want to argue against your own words? How about just simply stating "Sorry, I meant OK"?
