So we have a great lightningshow here. I have this trigger that works alright. But my Em1.2 seems slow and does not catch a thing. It is not the trigger, the trigger is doing fine on aother cams. The I realise: first curtain shutter....Alright. Now where is the setting. I went for 10 minutes trough (I guess most) menu's but just cannot fine the damn thing. I was on the verge of breaking the swivlescreen off. I realised it has some value. And that is where it will go. I never got along with this cam due to the menusystem which clearly is not for me. tried my GH4, found the setting in less than 20 seconds. I havenot used that cam since jan 2017. So it is clear which cams will fit me better even though I am taken back by the lack of service Panny gets people with at least some lenses.

I know what you mean. I prefer Olympus color, JPEG, and its superior High ISO over Panasonic. But in the end, I always end up return the Olympus camera I just bought for a Panasonic due to confusing menu system that is hard to operates. I think you need an huge adjustment period of owning Olympus camera for years to be comfortable with it.

If Olympus is your 1st camera, and you gotten used to it, i'ts great

but if you're a Panasonic or Canon users who is used to a logical layout, switching to Olympus can feel very frustrating. You really need to give a TIME with an huge adjustment period.

But for me, a Camera should SERVE me, not the other way around. I can operate very Canon camera without ever reading a single manual; it is the same Tab Menu system from a simple $99 canon point/shoot to a $4000 Canon Mark1. Panasonic is also very easy to adjust to. Anyhow, Good Luck.

Disagree with you. I've own Canons, Nikons, Fuji, Samsung, Panasonic and Olympus. It comes down to willing to learn how to use the equipment you are using. I held off for the longest time getting the Olympus E-M1 Mk II because of the horror stories from the likes of people like yourself. Once I got the E-M1 Mk II I realized that the menu is indeed complex but it allowed me to have the camera setup in ways I could never do with the other brands of cameras that I had or still have.
