I enjoyed your photos. I lived in Colorado a long time ago, but only saw a small portion of that beautiful state. I've only been to a few places in Utah too. It's such a nice location for exploring and of course geology too.

Western Colorado is absolutely GORGEOUS. For that matter, Eastern Utah is also pretty spectacular, but for different reasons. Colorado for the mountains and green pine forests, Utah for the dry landforms. Brown begins to wear on me after a bit - so I'll take Colorado every day of the week.

We drove I70 up until... Limon and then took 24 to Colorado Springs and then 115 to 50 to get to the Black Canyon. The river that runs along US 50 in Colorado (the Arkansas river out of Canon City) looks like a spectacular river to fish.

The landscape is also absolutely gorgeous. I didn't get any pics with my camera of the trip back through (we took I70 straight through Denver) so we got the full Rocky Mtn experience (I think 11,185 was the highest point we hit) complete with snow.

I've pretty much decided that when I graduate I'm moving out West to look for a job. Ideally working with the National Forest Service in Wyoming or something like that. Maybe Parks - though I'm more of a fan of conservation than preservation (I'm a Geology major with Environmental Science minor).
