That's it: my Em1.2 is gone before I destroy it.

I can chose, shutter, a shutter with a diamond (EFCS I think) and a shutter with a heart (fully electronic shutter)....Do you all mean I needed to chose the first type of shutter. That is fine, but it is not my question. Again: I became unsure what wqas going on and where in the SCP can I set the EFCS to whatever setting I like (0 second anti shock, 1/8 etc)? I could not find it and to me there is no logical icon in the SCP that makes it clear I should chose it.

I have an EM1.1 but I'm assuming that the EM1.2 is similar. I normally press the button that puts the bracketting modes on the front dial and shutter modes on the back one. It's faster than using the SCP, about 2s.

My SCP has a shutter symbol with a diamond just underneath the focus point selector. You do need to understand the difference between hearts and diamonds. I once took several hundred shots in our office because of mixing them up!

I confess to changing shutter and bracketing modes at least once every couple of months, so can recall how to do it despite memory fades.

As far as I know, IS settings require SCP use - no idea where to find them in the menu.

Please don't ask Olympus to reconceptualise their UI. As a long time Olympus digital camera owner, it suits me fine.

Feel free to beat up on Sony.

Thansk for your answer! I used the menu, but could not find it. I am not asking Oly to change anything, they need to change it though if they want money. I think if Panasonic stops with mFTs (I don't hope so fo course) I might switch to Fuji in order to steer clear of Olympus. regardless of all the advantages of mFTs this one is one I cannot swallow. But may be Fuji has its idiosyncracies. For the time being, Panasonic is the way to go it seems. But I will first get the G9 and compare before selling off the Em1.2...

I hope you find a camera you like.
