That's it: my Em1.2 is gone before I destroy it.

So we have a great lightningshow here. I have this trigger that works alright. But my Em1.2 seems slow and does not catch a thing. It is not the trigger, the trigger is doing fine on aother cams. The I realise: first curtain shutter....Alright. Now where is the setting. I went for 10 minutes trough (I guess most) menu's but just cannot fine the damn thing. I was on the verge of breaking the swivlescreen off. I realised it has some value. And that is where it will go. I never got along with this cam due to the menusystem which clearly is not for me. tried my GH4, found the setting in less than 20 seconds. I havenot used that cam since jan 2017. So it is clear which cams will fit me better even though I am taken back by the lack of service Panny gets people with at least some lenses.

I know what you mean. I prefer Olympus color, JPEG, and its superior High ISO over Panasonic. But in the end, I always end up return the Olympus camera I just bought for a Panasonic due to confusing menu system that is hard to operates. I think you need an huge adjustment period of owning Olympus camera for years to be comfortable with it.

If Olympus is your 1st camera, and you gotten used to it, i'ts great

but if you're a Panasonic or Canon users who is used to a logical layout, switching to Olympus can feel very frustrating. You really need to give a TIME with an huge adjustment period.

Why do mFT forum members keep saying one is logical and the other is not?  One may be more like you would arrange it and thus be set up and easier for you to use and understand, but there is nothing illogical about the Olympus setup.  It is different from the Panasonic setup, it may be easier for some to use and more difficult for others.  One may be organized differently and thus easier or more difficult for some individuals to use, but that does not imply the other is illogical.

Einstein's Theory of Relativity may not be simple or easy to understand, but that does not mean it is not logical.

But for me, a Camera should SERVE me, not the other way around. I can operate very Canon camera without ever reading a single manual; it is the same Tab Menu system from a simple $99 canon point/shoot to a $4000 Canon Mark1. Panasonic is also very easy to adjust to. Anyhow, Good Luck.

I will give you that I could not use the E-M1.2 without at least reading the manual and understanding its operation, if I wanted to do anything other that just take a photo in iAuto mode.  I certainly could not do a Live Composite without at least checking out the process, I would not know how to set the AF Scanner, C-AF Sensitivity, use the Preset MF distance to set the AF Limiter, how to set up all functions for the three Custom modes, the Dial and Button functions, the Lever settings, the C-AF, S-AF Priority, the Low and High sequential settings for the different shutters, Image stabilization for sequential shooting, the ISO setup for determining minimum shutter speed in A mode, Composite settings, sync speeds for mechanical and electronic flash, card slot settings, Info in the EVF, Sleep vs Quick Sleep modes, multiple exposure, keystone compensation, Anti shock, Hi Res shot or most of the video settings without looking at the manual or trying out the functions.  However, if the camera didn't offer such a variety of customization, I probably would have purchased something else.
