Has the fisheye image lost it's impact (to GoPro)
1

Just canvasing opinion here. In the past I have done some jobs that required getting a selection images of images of a particular town or village, often in relation to commercial or private property sales in a particular area. If I had to photograph a very uninspiring building I might (normally in desperation) add in a couple of fisheye shots, and it's surprising how often there were used (it certainly surprised me sometimes). Presumably they were chosen because they looked a bit different and freakish. They had some novelty value.
In the last few years GoPro and other action cam footage has become very common. It seems to me that fisheye images have lost much of their novelty value, but is that just me? What do you think?
