A-mount lenses not selling well

Sorry for beating a dead horse, this is a doom and gloom A mount post again, but here goes.

This is super anecdotal evidence but I just bought a new 85mm Tamron SP 85mm f1.8 for Amount in Sweden. It was 340 USD including VAT of 25 percent it's 750 USD in the US, pre tax. I don't know about you but I see this as a very bad sign. I had seen this lens on the digital shelf for a long time at a 50 percent discount (the lens costs 940 USD at retail with VAT of 25 percent in sweden) and now it was discounted at 65 percent and still no one was buying it so I made the jump and got it. This might be good for me but I think it's very bad news for Amount.

Like I have said before. I shoot the A99 and will get the A99 II in a few years so I will get to enjoy this lens for years but I'm thinking A mount is truly dead when they can't sell great lenses like this at a 65 percent discount.
