Fill-in flash outside tips

Hi All,

People photography is not my cup of tea.

I am going to take before prom pictures of my kids and their friends this Friday,
both in and outside, individual and group.
I will have very limited time (15- 20 min top) and bunch of unwilling participants
I have Nikon D750 and Godox 350 flash on-camera
Inside is not a problem.
Outside location has very little to non shadow and body of water on the background.

I actually went there and snap a few pictures and they come out reasonably well exposed, but I had to spend time with the manual set up to get there and I will not have time for this on Friday.
I am looking for camera/flash set up tips I can do on the fly. I will shoot RAW+JPEG
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

P.S I posted this on the general photography too and cannot remove it now
