I was thinking while reading, should you be short on card space, you could instead shoot RAW+JPG (or RAW only) w/o bracketing, planning to process the raw with Fujifilm X RAW Studio when at your computer. That app uses the camera's engine to create JPGs with in-camera simulations from RAW files, just as you would by using Film Sim bracketing.

Thanks for the suggestion; can you select all the photos on the card to be processed as a batch, so that I'm not spending time selecting individual photos? Space on the card isn't too much of an issue since I use a 64gb card and don't take a whole lot of video. But I will download the software and play around with it to see if it would work better for me.

Not sure. I loaded it once to see what it did - it's not for me.
