Avoiding centered images

I just returned from safari and saw most of my images were centered, even though I know better and try to focus and recompose.  I've always used small center point when shooting with long telephotos, and unfortunately this can lead to my issue if I'm not careful.  Of course I can crop in post but I'd rather avoid the issue if possible.

I'm wondering how others have handled this?  I'm shooting with EM1.2 and either the 100-400 or 300F4.

Thanks you for your thoughts!
