AF with self-timer (M100)
3

I've been enjoying the lightweight M100 on some hikes lately, but I have a question for you all on how the AF works with the self-timer.  I would like to set the timer, then jump in front of the camera and have it autofocus on me when it shoots the photo.  From what I can tell, the camera sets the AF when I press the shutter (and turns on the timer), and not when the photo is actually taken.

Any advice on this?

And here are a couple photos, just for fun, from my last trail trip.

Thanks in advance for your help!
