Does anyone have both the E-P5 and the EM10 II?

Why I use DxO+Prime.

Why the universal -1 settings for the camera jpeg? Surely you would have got much closer to the DxO+Prime image if you had the camera set to take jpeg all set at +1

The LNjpeg from the camera is only a reference thing so I have something to review in the camera. Being a bit "flat" and neutral, it responds well to further fiddling if wanting/needing to use the jpeg only for email or some quick unimportant purpose. More careful sharpening in FastStone Viewer or other edit programs definitely works better than the in-camera sharpening.

Apart from all that, when using DxO I simply get more detail out of the image, proven by the mesh in that old electric motor. No matter what I did with OV3 there's no way I could get that mesh detail that DxO managed without raising a sweat. Using Prime on all images (all ISO) does not remove detail at all, but improves it.

I am still experimenting but slowly "zooming in" on a nice default preset for DxO that suits a whole folder conversion, then go back to any "problem" results to further fiddle. Yesterday's day out seemed to give me the whole folder OK from DxO, no problem shots, exterior in sunlight to inside dimmish buildings at ISO 6400.

So DxO Photolab works for me and as I am stalled on the E-P5 and a few lenses then I am set for life. No worries if DxO goes belly up.

Regards..... Guy
