Tease: an air-to-air photo
20

I apologise. I'm a long way from home, away from my main PC, in a hotel with slow WiFi.

But I can't resist showing one (fairly random) of the air-to-air photos I took today. I'll post more when I can do so properly. I'm too excited to wait!

I was sitting in a de Havilland Dragon Rapide , an 8-passenger biplane that started production in the 1930s. This photo was taken through the struts between its wings of a Spitfire in close formation alongside. I wanted to show how close it was. (I have other photos of just the Spitfire, and many variations).

I like the detail in the pilot's face, who appears to be looking straight at me. (In other photos he is waving). This photo stands up to viewing large.

This is one of the flights offered by Classic Wings out of IWM Duxford .
