I think my RX100 has been great for landscapes in every way including image quality.

There is a limit to the dynamic range. I haven't used it on a tripod or for long exposures. But as a camera to have with me it has delivered over and over again. I have Nikon D90 perhaps good for 16 inch tall prints after post processing. I think the Rx100 rates about the same

Landscapes are about lighting. interesting scenery and composition.

Because I had it with me....

The photos below are probably less good photos but I've uploaded them full size so you can see if the quality meets your standards. 
The one of my son at the top off a rock climb says it all. Take it with you still get great shots...
