K1-ii vs K-1 DPR Studio Comparison Screen Captures
9

I uploaded following gallery as a reference on how I compared the two cameras based on DPR's studio scene:

https://www.dpreview.com/galleries/0725780996/albums/k1-ii-vs-k-1-comparison/slideshow

The captures are done on the fine text above the center of the scene because the lens used in K1-ii studio scene seems defective that it has extreme softness in upper right corner.  Due to PNG to JPG conversion on my Mac, there is some loss of quality in these uploads.

From ISO 100 through ISO 51200, I do not see any downside from K1-ii output. In fact K1-ii's ISO 100 output seems better than that of K1.  Only exception is the ISO 12800 shot from K1-ii, which seems extra soft or lack contrast. DPR's review singled out ISO 12800 as problematic, but I think it's something else causing the softness, possibly focus error or post-processing. The K1-ii ISO 25600 shot is punchier looking than the ISO 12800 shot, so I consider DPR's ISO 12800 shot from K1-ii to be an outlier, its cause of softness should be investigated.

My conclusion:  K1-ii's IQ is fine, not worse than that of K1.
