Nope!

Though in a choice between 150grams of magnesium, and a £20 wrist or neck strap, I'd choose the strap every time. Especially as even with all that magnesium, a big enough drop will still break the camera. Not dropping a camera is generally much less damaging!

LOL!  But neck straps can fail, and a camera can swing from side to side, sometimes striking a rock.  Don't ask me how I know!
