Replacing 90 Macro lens

I have a Tamron 90mm macro, nice lens, but it doesn't quite suit what I want.

I do like primes for their IQ and I do like to take close ups but I don't want to do finicky macro stuff. So I need a longer lens(135mm?) preferably a prime and perferably 2.8 and it needs to have Auto Focus. And while a macro does 1:1 i think 1:2 - 1:3 should be good. I had the old Nikon 300 F4 which was 1:3.7 and rather liked that. Minimum focus distance ideally should be like 1'-2'. Oh, and lastly I don't want to spend a lot ... $500 or less.

Any suggestions?
