Assuming you can turn up screen brightness to an acceptable level, beware of judging exposure afterwards.  If you review your shots, they could well look grossly overexposed - but trust the histogram.   I've had to crank my Sony RX100 screen up to the max, partly to be able to read the tiny menus, and all the whites look blown-out on the LCD.  Since I was working with dual strobes, it was natural to turn down the power to make things look OK on the LCD, but then were quite underexposed in reality and when I imported the shots into a computer.
