RX100v landscapes - too high expectations?

Since last october I use RX100v as a companion to m4/3 system. I like its features and speed in small package. I use camera as a take anywhere camera when I am lazy to carry m4/3 system cameras. With zoom lens they just don't fit in a belt pouch I have for camera. Anyway, lately I came over several occasions where I took some landscape photos. Must admit that conditions were not ideal - haze, wront time of the day, but I still feel photos were not as good as I would likte them to. There might also be processing issue or simply my lack of photographic skills or.

Here are two examples I downsized to 1900px:

Grass in this photo is just green mess, almost no definition. Focus was on a trees on the right side.

This photo was focused on a lake. There was a lot of haze present, so I used dehazing tool in DXO.

I use DXO Photolab as default photo editor.

On the other hand, I am happy with this one:

Please share your opinions and/or editing tricks. More I use this camera, more I like it, so hope to use it even more.
