New buyer of Epson P800 with questions on PK/MK

I've used the Pro-100 for years and enjoyed the prints with the PC refilling process but wanted to move into larger prints without the 25" Canon limits.

Enter P800.  I would like to use the PC inks for future refilling and reduce cost.

Their inks have look like a great match as it was with the PRO100.  There appears to be a "resetter" solution/workaround with "30" potential resets.  There may be a standard resetter in the future.

But what is the issue with the valve and the PK/MK?

Is using only OEM for PK/MK a solution?  Is using the printer for only matte or glossy a solution?

Also since I'm starting with their new printer partial filled inks do I use these until completely empty, switch over to PC inks and then what?

Switch to PC when OEM is partially empty use PC until partially empty then switch back to OEM?  Then get the decoder/resetter?

Thanks for your help in advance.
