Re: 7iii front focus conclusion.

Now I see what you guys with the working 7iii's mean with the autofocus. Even though the 7riii AF system isn't technically as good, it actually works on the riii and it's amazing!!

Finally, I can get shots of my daughter walking towards me. And they're ALL in focus! I can get shots of my dogs running towards me, and they're almost all in focus.

I love it! I am having tons of fun now. And all the extra res of the riii is nice, when I don't compose exactly how I want I can just crop.

I am over the top happy now if you can't tell. I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but to anyone watching these threads with a 7iii, don't worry.

If there is *any* doubt whether or not your camera is affected, it probably isn't. It was so glaringly obvious that mine were defective that you couldn't mistake it. Your camera is probably fine. Go enjoy it!

I can finally get shots like these. The one of my daughter impresses me a lot. Low light, and she was moving pretty quickly out of frame and it still got her in focus. I'm shocked it was able to get her!

And the pic of the dog, forget about it. (yes, he's wearing a diaper. It's a long, expensive story)  With either 7iii I took hundreds of dog shots, not a single one in focus. I'm having fun if you can't tell, even if the shots aren't really good. At least they're in focus!
