FZ1000 Animal Portraits: Buff-cheeked gibbon pair dispute

One of the most interesting scenes I encountered during my last visit to the Ljubljana Zoo was when I watched two Buff-cheeked gibbons (Nomascus gabriellae) interact.

A male gibbon wanted to grab/hold the female by the leg. Though he stretched his awesome long hands as long as he could, she managed to turn him down. Third image is showing him with surprised/disappointed face. That didn't bother the female to walk away towards their dwelling house in the Zoo. You can see her cleverly balancing her upright walk on two legs (bipedalism) using her extremely long hands.
