I seen the Japanese replacement solenoids on Ebay a while ago. It is a DIY job though but step by step tutorials are available to fix it.

You need to be handy or have some kind of transferable skills experience though. Not for theperson who can't change a lightbulb!

True but it seems the ebay part is better than the original, so if it's fixed it's for good!
