What slide adapter did you use on Oly 60mm macro ? I also have thousands of slides but never bothered myself to scan them in turn I had film scanner when I used film cameras.

Hi János,

I used an old Olympus OM slide copier and a flash as light source. Not the perfect setup but it works. I use this slide copier because I have it. There are probably slide copiers avaible that fit more tight to the 60 mm.

I compared the results with scans I made with a 5400 DPI Minolta Dimage slide scanner: they are on par, although the slide scanner can "remove" dust automaticly by using an infrared image. However, scanning slides with the slide scanner is terribly slow - it would litteraly take a lifetime to scan 10.000 slides. Also processing the Olympus raw/orf's is much easier than the 16 bit TIFFs of the slide scanner.

Cheers, Erwin
