Re: Peak Design Everyday Sling Bag 5L Design Failure

Mine exactly like the sample from the peak design website but the end of the strap is totally flat, it is different from the 10L that has bump on the strap so does not easily detached from the buckle. Please check the photo from my 10L version. Actually I never detached the strap from the buckle since new.

I have been using almost all Peak Design products without any problems. But today the strap of the bag suddenly detached from the bag and fell down from the waist high, after I got home and found out that the filter on my lens was broken in pieces. The camera I brought is a Nikon D850 with 24-120mm kit lens only. After I clean the broken glass I saw few scratches on the inside ring of the lens, luckily is not the lens itself but it will decrease the value if I want to sell in the future. I attached some photos to show you. The design of the end of the strap is different with the one on 10L version that I also use it day to day. If you have the same bag please be aware.

Did the strap fail or simply pull through the buckle? If that were my bag I would have taken the end of the strap back through the top slot to lock it in place.

The image I find for the bag on the Peak Design site looks different in implementation
