Well maybe so but not unlike your text which is just a cover to post more images, you seem to have a history of that. Yes the bokeh quality of your images just miss the mark of interesting.

How would somebody with what, 70 posts know that I have a history of posting images and need an excuse? You didn’t by any chance have a different screen name before, but have “used it up” ?

Look, I don’t know who you are and why you felt the need to respond at all, but if you do respond again, maybe a little bit more constructive criticism would be better rather than some flippant remarks.

To me the lens bokeh and focal length are in no mans land and the images look off . If it’s not the lens then it’s the photographer that fails to hit the mark. That is my take on it you don’t need to respond just ignore me.

The xe3 is my first fuji camera so I am new to fuji. I bought and sold the 50mm f2 and 35mm f2 , found them very ordinary. Bought the 23 f1.4 a bit big and unwieldy for the xe3 but I can cope with that as I like the results.

I also own the 56/1.2 had the 85/1.4 Nikkor and also use the 90/2. But unlike you I am happy with the results as I often travel to remote areas of the world where weight is on occasion borderline. Did a 5 1/2 hour jungle hike a couple of weeks ago and wished I had thought about the gear I took more carefully. I understand that whenever you hear people talk about weight and mention a saving of a few hundred grams, it doesn't sound much. But since it all adds up, there can be a perceived difference regarding taking the Pro2 plus 16/1.4 and 90/2 versus X-T20 plus 14/2.8 and 50/2.

I am sure this is partially only in my head, but feeling the 90/2 swing around as opposed to the 50/2 simply being much, much lighter. Since this is also an aspect for people using Fuji gear (read: use it for travel) I thought I would post those samples. Not out of vanity or whatever you tried to imply there but simply to share.

Now since this is out of the road I would now really be interested in your photos with "interesting" bokeh.

And I mean it!

Sitting in the Arctic circle right now I have one camera one lens so a bigger lens is not a drama except keeping it clean due to there being lots of glass.

Truman covered it all in regards to bokeh except I rarely shoot the convectional  foreground background way
