Too "Photoshopped"...?

Too "Photoshopped"...?

This is my first try photographing someone with off camera flash. Two AD200s on the B2 head. Fuji X-T2 with 56mm at f/1.2...

Even though I'm pleased with the exposure levels of both the background and the subject, the photo here as it pretty much came straight off the camera looks like a composite.

Is this something I'll just get used to and is just a case of adjusting to the new look, or do I need to change/improve technique so I don't get this effect so much?

Softer light from the flash unit would be my first guess?
