I'm shooting with an Olympus OMD EM10 and recently had a grainy photo session while exploring Bangkok. I haven't had an issue with this before so I'm confused as to why it happened the other day.

As the others have said, this picture as posted shows no evidence of excessive noise.

It is, however, seriously underexposed if you want to show anything but the sky in natural tones. When you open the picture up in PP it does show noise in the (still dark but not so much) areas.

I was shooting with M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II and a 58mm CPL digital HD filter.

This isn't a situation where I'd have used a CPL; I wonder if you reduced contrast by setting it at the wrong angle, or if the light was simply too lat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regardless of the tonality it's a good idea to keep the camera level.
