LX-100 time lapse image speeds

Hi,

I am looking to use an LX-100 to take images every 1 second for a number of minutes (would like to do 30-45 minutes)  as part of an underwater image system using the time-lapse function.

With a decent card will the camera do 1 fps for long periods of time or once the buffer is filled does it slow down?? Would be keen to see what happens if you try this for a few minutes. Also what type of battery life do you get in this type of configuration??

If not does anyone know of a camera that might do this?? Some like the Ricoh GR's will only do an image every 5 seconds which is too slow. We are taking images of coral reefs from a moving towed platform.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott.
