Lightroom: Single image, multiple crops

If I want to make 8x10-inch and 5x7-inch prints of the same photo, that calls for two very different crops.

The question is, how to create multiple crops in Lightroom for a single image and save those crops for future — and sometimes simultaneous — use (especially if I'm printing  8x10 and 5x7 copies to a roll of paper in a single print job).

Making a virtual copy of the image doesn't work; the copy is not linked to the master and any future edits made on the master image won't propagate to the virtual copy. And, alas, LR does not have the ability to zoom a picture inside a print frame.

Perhaps someone much  smarter than I has the answer.
