Nasty color bleed on pushed A7III RAW (compressed, silent shutter)
1

So... just noticed a really weird situation with a couple of very backlit images in a fluorescent-lit room, no flash -- i.e. a particularly horrible shooting scenario that required a great deal of compensation. FWIW, this was a compressed RAW, shot in silent shutter mode, and I don't know what exactly was in the foreground, looks like someone's arm.

Here's the SOOC version (cropped)... with the effect already somewhat visible on his right sleeve:

SOOC: ILCE-7M3, FE 70-100/4 OSS @ 172mm, F4, ISO 400, 1/125s, silent shutter

And here's a processed version, which demonstrates impressive shadow recovery, low noise and no PDAF lines or banding, but makes the weird color bleed more obvious. Adjustments: Temp/Tint, Exposure +0.58, Highlights +100, Shadows -100, Blacks -48.

RAW processed in LR: ILCE-7M3, FE 70-100/4 OSS @ 172mm, F4, ISO 400, 1/125s, silent shutter

What's going on here? Here's a 2nd example, where the bleed appears to also be going in the opposite direction (from dark background to light foreground):

RAW processed in LR: ILCE-7M3, FE 70-100/4 OSS @ 172mm, F4, ISO 400, 1/125s, silent shutter
