So in the end Dynamic Pixel Shift isn't Pixel Shift at all:

Pretty much the HDR mode repurposed as an image stacking feature, wonder why they called it Dynamic Pixel Shift since it has nothing to do with shifting pixels...

Frankly I was quite impressed by the idea of handheld pixel shift, especially from Pentax since their stabilisation tech is now behind Olympus/Panasonic (and now Fuji), but it seems it's not for today.

Handheld Pixel Shift / Super resolution mode combined with a very effective motion detection could be a revolution in high resolution imagery so I still hope someone will get it right but now I'm feeling that we won't see such innovation from Pentax before a long time.

Seriously what are doing Pentax engineers? Is there anyone in R&D left? Every camera brand is throwing new innovations but Pentax seems freezed since the K-1 launch.
