Here is a bit of a summary of the different propositions we've evoked in this thread so far.
If only there was a way to visually compare the kind of angle of view and sharpness we'd get on a M4/3 sensor, between the
- Laowa 7.5mm M4/3, with extension tubes for 1:1 macro focusing
You can not find any official tube from pana/oly.
The m4/3 push the 4/3 spec to its limit, especially the telecentric design.
All lens has imperfections, but in the accepatable range (of all parties involved). The 4/3 sensor requires rather strict telecentric design. However, the cost of building such lens (and the final size/weight) is not attractive. So Pana/Oly deliberately relaxes the spec and corrects these extra residual 3imperfections via in-camera software instead of via in-lens hardware (gla$$).
The correction works (almost) flawlessly as long as the already relaxed spec is not violated.
The extension tube does violate the spec. Thus, Pana/Oly wont make it to tarnish their (marginal) reputation. However Chinese people thinks differently. Lot of customers do need it, who cares.
In conclusion, dont expect sharpness from tube.
More, i dont think tube works on this very short focal length lens.
- Laowa 15mm macro EF mount with M4/3 adapter
Good, but you wont get wide angle as you need.
AND AND AND
- Laowa 15mm macro EF mount with a focal reducer like THIS(x 0.72) !
This may be best but the final AoV of 10.5mm is not as wide as the 7.5mm.
Well .. why dont you try the (cheap) fisheye first? Even after de-fish, it's still very wide. The very steep perspective and large DoF may conform to your desire.
In your opinion, which solution will best achieve the closest results to the Laowa 15mm macro lens, which is my dream lens, and can produce wide angle and macro perspectives with impressive depth of field, like this :
