On the 6D you will lose AF with the tc attached, (f/8 reported), on either the 100-400 or the 150-600.

On the 6D I have also put on a Non-Reporting Tamron 1.4 tc.  It still does not AF.  But then, my purpose for buying the 6D was landscape/macro.

The Tamron is a very capable lens. A cheaper alternative to the 100-400.  It is the only non-canon lens I own.
