I suppose what I'm asking is, does the E-M10 II hit the sweet spot? As I mentioned I have never used one. I did handle one in the store and I am impressed with how small it is. I expect someone will tell me to quit whining and use the PM2 or E-P5. It's possible I am being too picky after all, but I'd be happy to hear any thoughts.

Alright after some deliberation I decided to order the E-M10 II. It should arrive in a week or so. This is my first deliberate full jump into Olympus after using 99% Panasonic cameras so I was a little nervous. I guess if it's good enough for Robin Wong it's good enough for me. Thanks all.

For me, it absolutely does hit it. Like you, I got into M43 via the E-PM2, sold my other systems, and after a while missed the (built in) evf, got the E-M10 and later version ii. I don't need weather resistance, high resolution, nor the weight and bulk of the more expensive models. With a grip the OMD is very comfortable for me.

Recently I played around with a FF camera but after over a year of agonizing and comparing I sold it and decided that for me the E-M10ii is indeed the sweet spot of weight, size, features and quality. It offers a lot of things that belie its low price and low tier position in the OMD lineup. I guess Olympus figured that out too.

Still have my E-PM2, converted to IR. Also have a spare E-M10ii just in case something happens to the current one. I shortly considered the Pen F but decided against it.

Sometimes you have to ignore what others tell you and try things for yourself. Have fun with the E-M10ii!
