Is the SX60 a viable replacement for my Fujifilm HS series camera?

I have used and loved my Fujifilm super zooms but my current HS-30 is starting to show signs of age. I used it for almost everything but mostly for travel. I also use raw modes, external flash and in-camera panorama.

I believe superzooms are great cameras but have limited lifetime so a used one seems a bit risky. I think the SX60 is the best option but perhaps some in this forum can further enlighten me. I'd especially like to hear from former HS owners.

An interesting thing is the Panasonic FZ72 seemed to go down like a damp squib on the forum but the FZ82 seems to get a better reception which is the opposite of the SX50/60. If I was getting this sort of camera the FZ82 seems a good solution and I think the 21mm wide angle on the SX60 and FZ72/82 is a good feature which I miss. Of course focusing options will be light years ahead of Canon's rudimentary options.

Pity they cannot develop a superzoom with a 2/3" sensor in between the G3X and SX60. The 1" sensor has not done done any favours for super zoom fans unless they have deep pockets and a very large camera bag and the muscles to lug it all around.
