Hi all, I have read a lot of past forum posts and I'm leaning towards a E-M10 II as my travel camera. I wanted to get some feedback from owners since I have never really used an OMD. I currently own a PM2 and E-P5. I use 14, 20, 45, 12-32 lenses usually for travel. I also have a 14-140, 12-35 & 35-100 2.8.

My goal is a pocketable high quality setup. I travel to risky areas so I expect theft or loss, thus I keep it cheap on purpose.

First I got a E-PM2 + VF4, frankly I love this camera's photos. So long as I'm shooting a single style then the camera is set up how I like. Diversion from my default settings is difficult because it has so few controls. The SCP helps. IBIS isn't very good but I'll take it.

With the EPM2, rather than use IBIS, use the lens OIS. It is far superior.

So, to fix the above I acquired an E-P5, still using the VF-4 on it. People seem to love this camera. It should check all my boxes right? It doesn't though, I don't enjoy using it. It's a tad too heavy and awkward with the VF-4 attached. I prefer the E-PM2, lack of controls notwithstanding.

I suppose what I'm asking is, does the E-M10 II hit the sweet spot? As I mentioned I have never used one. I did handle one in the store and I am impressed with how small it is. I expect someone will tell me to quit whining and use the PM2 or E-P5. It's possible I am being too picky after all, but I'd be happy to hear any thoughts.

I have an EPL5 and an EP5. I had looked at the EM10 II when it first came out.

For me, the biggest problem with the EM10 II and a deal breaker, was the flicker in the EVF.

So, I bought an EM5 II. The EVF is the same as the VF4. I do not have any problems with it.

However, in operation, the EP5 has an edge over the EM5 II - it is much faster. It will be a much faster camera than the EM10 II.

Same comment from me as hockeyguy. As an E-M10 Mark II owner for a year I have never noticed any flicker in the EVF - in fact I have always been amazed at just how good it is. And equally with "faster" - that could mean anything - could you elaborate?
