Would there be any benefit in an a9 and adaptor?
2

I'm probably going to get a ban for posting this topic, but here goes.

When I bought the a99ii, it was so obvious to me, even as a hobby photographer, the massive difference in low light performance to that of the a99. But I find myself still striving for more light/less ISO noise, I have been considering the a9. (I know this forum is for the A mount), BUT I don't want to end up having to buy new glass and I certainly don't want to give up my beloved a99 and a99ii. There is nothing wrong with my existing full frame Sony Zeiss glass, all of which are FF version 1 lenses. I know that to use my existing glass on that camera body requires using a (Sony) adaptor, but I believe using those lenses with the adaptor on the a9 body will loose some if not all of any extra light/noise benefit.

So here's the question, would such a purchase with the adaptor be worth the expense of the camera body and adaptor? Will any benefits in low light use be visible to the naked eye like it was when I started to use the a99ii?

I don't care about FPS or shutter noise, all I am thinking of is less ISO 'noise'.

Sony a9 Sony Alpha a99
