Hi there
I am asking this question on behalf of my friend who has the Canon 700d camera and bought a used tamron200-500mm . The lens showed Error 01/clean the contacts, so we did that with a soft cloth (it appears clean to start with) . Received the same massage
I have a Sony a6000 and tried with Viltrox adapter and it worked. Slow and temperamental but this is the what I get with other lenses using this adapter anyway. So it does not seem there is a huge internal issue
And yes the Canon camera works fine with other lenses
There is an issue with the communication. Can successfully close down the aperture on the Sony combination? Can you successfully shoot on the Canon with the lens aperture wide open?
Or does the Canon complain right away when you mount the lens? Or just when pressing the shutter to take an image?
Any ideas will be appreciated
Thanks in advance
