Absolutely NOT ... that has happened to me HUNDREDS of times ... (and I am not exaggerating).

You know I advocate a "compromise" size sensor (1"-type), and indeed a specific camera because it also has a "leaf" shutter for 1/4000s flash-sync, (which I also think is an advantage). That camera has a "faster" (f/2.8) lens with continuous wider-longer zoom-range than any "kit" lenses.

But every time I mention it, they immediately respond that the (kit) f/3.5 is actually "faster", (and the deeper DOF is unacceptable).

But I have had many private messages thanking me for suggesting that camera and they now agree it is more convenient and versatile.

"Advocate" might be the understatement of the year.
