I don't get your meaning. I'm reading your original statements that if I took a portrait head shot of someone with the fuji 23 and then from the same distance took the same shot using a 35mm lens on a FF sensor the fuji 23 would look more distorted than the shot taken with the 35mm lens?

Because in your original statement you said the Fuji 23 is still a 23mm lens and give more distortion than a real 35mm lens on a FF camera.

Your original statement.

Keep in mind while it may give you a 35mm FOV on a Fuji sensor, is still has the perspective of a 23mm. I have a 24mm on a full frame Canon and would be the last lens I would choose for a portrait with the facial distortion it would give,

Which is completely false as I have pointed out. I don't want to belabor the point either but you have a misconception. It is lens mm to sensor/film size ratio that counts.

A 24mm on FF would look completely different from the Fuji 23 on a Fuji sensor, and not only the FOV.

I personally wouldn't take a portrait shot of someone using a 35mm lens on FF camera or the equivalent on a smaller or larger sensor camera.
