Color filters may have enough transmission outside of their main color to cause cross-contamination - have you considered trying monochromatic illumination (red/green/blue LEDs)?

Yep, that's what I'll be using the colors filters for when they arrive.

It's anecdotal, but my experience at least with A6500 is that the AF seems to struggle severely if the scene is completely lacking in green. (this happens, for example, if you're at a music venue that is primarily lit with RGB LEDs and the owner/lighting operatore REALLY loves purple...)

I plan on doing some more scientific tests when my A7III arrives next month.
