Guys, magic is a euphemism, that's all. Perhaps French? Some lenses have a certain Je ne sais quois.

I think that the lens on my Fujica GS645 had that quality too - at least more than any other that I have owned. (The medium format film to show off its resolution and fine colour gradation did not hurt.)
