LX10 - How restrictive is the 120fps mode?

My next compact camera has to have the capability to shoot in at least 120fps.  I'm trying to avoid the Sony RX100 V because I don't like Sony and I hate their menu system.  So that leaves only the LX10 in the 'pocketable cameras with HFR' market.  But, all reviews that mention the 120fps mode are vague about it and say that it's limited.  Does that mean the camera reverts to auto exposure/framerate/aperture settings when shooting at 120fps? Or can I compose my shot with full manual control and then enter 120fps mode to shoot with those settings frozen?
