Thank you all for your answer I really appreciate the advice.

Now I have another question. Many of you recommended a polarizing filter. I would like to buy one but after doing some reading cant really understand the difference between circular and linear. So lets say I want one for my 14-42 lens what do I get and how do i know the size

Thank you again.

CPL size is marked on the lens, preceded by a zero w/ a vertical line passing through it. Remember, these filters are only (very) effective when shooting at right angle to the direction of the sun's rays; ie. not much benefit shooting into the sun or "down"-sun. They also rob you of at least a stop of light, so u want to remove for indoor pix! Finally they smudge up easily and are difficult to clean ... so handle carefully and keep in their case.

I keep a polarizer on each of my lenses as lens protection. They are easier and safer to clean than the lens itself. Depending or not whether I have a good polarizing angle, I would remove the filter before shooting along with the lens cap.

I don't like step up or step down rings as they tend to get stuck because they are metal. I used to use the rings with a Cokin Filter holder on my film cameras and as often as not they were a PITA to remove. Sometimes pliers were the only answer.
