Adapted Tripod Heads... do they work??

Hi guys,

Back again with another problem. It’s photography, you know how it is.

I live by the sea here in Australia and enjoy filming/taking photos of some of the cool airplanes that land round here, there’s one problem, however, it’s windy (real windy). I’ve already purchased things like the Smallrig cage and Manfrotto 293 telephoto lens support to help stabilize the shot, however there seems to be one thing missing. I bought the Manfrotto MVH500AH tripod head thinking that if I chuck it on my ProMaster FW29T tripod legs, all the flaws will disappear. I was wrong (obviously). The tripod legs are rather flimsy (strong enough, but still flimsy). So I’ve decided to look into new tripod legs (these ones: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/E-Image-GA752-Aluminmum-tripod-leg-75mm-bowl-tripod-payload-40kg/262773138054?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3Db72ff78eeaf146969cc876c4e55dd4e6%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D262741282325%26itm%3D262773138054&_trksid=p2385738.c100677.m4598

any thoughts?) because my main problem is weight and stability. These tripod legs are fairly heavy, and should be pretty strudy. Looking at them they look pretty strong anyway. Now you’ve probably picked up by now the fact that those tripod legs are for 75mm bowl heads, and the MVH500Ah tripod head is a flat head. So I looked into an adapter and sure enough,

I found one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/75mm-Bowl-Ball-to-Flat-Adapter-Converter-for-Manfrotto-Video-Tripod-Fluid-HeadSN/152938894822?hash=item239bde55e6:g:lR8AAOSwGfRZb6JG

So my question to you is, is the adapter going to be good enough? Or do I need a true 75mm bowl head for stability. I was just wondering if the fact that I’m choosing an adapter, means that the stability will be slightly compromised.
