Long time lurker and 15-45 test pic
5

I should introduce myself. I own M,M2,M3,M6 and I'm finally almost happy. I also have a 11-22,18-55x2, 15-45, 55-200, 55-250stm, 50stm, 50 1.4, 85 1.8, etc. You can see I have been a bit impatient, but all the M's have been bought as fire-sales or on a good discount, so my previous discipline of only buying after several generations went out the window.

I have followed this forum and there are a lot of contrary opinions about the 15-45mm. Mine came with my M6 a few months back and today I shot a test photo. I used Canon's DPP with DLO to clean it up. For me (like all the other EF-M lenses) it is sharp enough for my intended purpose.

Given that this is a gear site, I will start off with just test photos. If you are nice to me (you don't have to agree with me) I will also post a travel photo or two!

Both shots wide open, one at 15mm, one at 45mm.

100% DLO and 1.5 USM sharpening.

So, is this lens sharp and contrasty enough for you?
