Color Casts in prints
Hello all, I'm new here and had a few questions. I am a photography major in college. Our program is using a Epson stylus pro 4900. When soft proofing on a color calibrated monitor with 4900 profiles everything looks correct. When I print (using all profile for color management not automatic printer settings) things are printed very dark and things have a color cast not seen on screen. When I go to fix the cast image on screen looks bad. For instance if I'm correcting for cyan in order to get things correct for print my image on screen looks yellow. I imagine the print looks dark due to the brightness from the monitor so my concern is the color. I just calibrated the monitor for a third time. Any ideas or suggestions? It's wasting a ton of my paper which we have to buy out of pocket. Thanks for the help. If you need more information let me know.
